BACK TO SCHOOL BASH 2022 WAS A SUCCESS!
Updated: Sep 7, 2022
The Back to School Bash held at Trotwood Park on August 6th was an amazing success thanks to all of our volunteers, vendors, and sponsors!
Our first annual event provided 100 Seminole County students with book bags filled with school supplies. We were also grateful to provide 10 teachers with tote bags filled with graph, lined and construction paper, pencils, pens, sheet covers, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes and a "Teacher Survival Kit". We know the beginning of the school year can be tough on teachers so we wanted to make sure they had a little something just for them. We even had gift cards donated for them! Last, but not least, J Da Barber and Candy Luxx B&B provided free haircuts inside a mobile barber shop. They provided 15 fresh cuts to students to get them ready for their first day of school (one less thing for mom and dad to think about!).
FREE CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES
Special shoutout to Schulte Realty for sponsoring our facepainter and Castle Creek Studio for sponsoring our balloon animals. Jim and Mercedes did such a great job entertaining the kids who were so excited to show off their beautiful face art and balloons.
We can't forget the team at Kidz Haven Babysitting who hosted our Relay Race! The kids had a blast racing through obstacles and we had three children who won prizes donated by Nickelodeon Productions.
Thank you to Championship Martial Arts Tuskawilla and Zumba Fit with Lindsay for giving our families a fun workout demo class! We loved seeing everyone get up and do a little exercise with you.
That day was filled with so much fun and excitement thanks to DJ Eric Jewell and his lovely wife who donated her time to help us keep everybody smiling.
VENDORS
As an organization focused on providing economic opportunity for women, we were ecstatic to be able to host our women's vendor market at the Back to School Bash. We had 14 woman-owned businesses present that day selling their handmade products and promoting their services. It is so important for small businesses to be able to get out into the community and pitch their product and meet their customers. Not only is it a chance to earn money but also an opportunity to share their passions with others. Be sure to click through our list below and support them today!
